Esteemed musicians Elton John and Paul McCartney are set to appear in a follow-up to the widely beloved movie This Is Spinal Tap. The original ‘rockumentary’ focused on the fictional band Spinal Tap and is marking its 40th anniversary next year with a sequel.
Rob Reiner, who directed the initial film in 1984, has affirmed that Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer will reprise their roles. Additionally, music legends Paul McCartney and Elton John will join the cast.
The continuation of This Is Spinal Tap was initially scheduled for launch in March 2024, in line with the 40th anniversary of the original movie. However, even though filming is set to start in February of the coming year, an exact release date hasn’t been finalized yet.
